As an annual event, the International Food Fair is organized by the School of Law Volunteers (SOLV). This year’s fair was held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the South Cafeteria, Nagoya University’s Higashiyama Campus, and joined by foreign students from France, Myanmar, Cambodia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan, Italy and Brazil. With the help from SOLV members, specialty of each country was cooked and presented at the fair.
Ms. KORK Boren, a Cambodian doctoral student at the Graduate School of Law, was the chef for today’s Cambodian menu. Helped by some Cambodian students and SOLV members, she prepared “khor Kor” to be eaten with bread, one of the most typical cuisines in Cambodia.
SOLV is a student association aiming to help foreign students of Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University, in daily life and to promote cultural exchange among foreign students. One of the several activities organized by SOLV is the annual ski trip in late February and early March.
