To welcome New Year Eve 2010, CSAN held a party at Centre for Asian Legal Exchange (CALE), Nagoya Uni, on Thursday, December 31, 2009 starting from 6.30 pm till mid-night. More than 30 participants; including Cambodian students studying at Nagoya Uni and Toyohashi Uni, Ms. Mara, Mr. Ly Gnek, and Mr. Lorn’s family joined the event.
The party lasted for more than 6 hours with the following activities:

  • Opening ceremony
  • Welcome speech by Mrs. Leang Sokhom, 2010 CSAN president
  • Slide show of 2009 CSAN committee’s works
  • Toast and Dinner
  • Comedy show ( Jokes telling)
  • Singing and performance by volunteers
  • Hot potato game
  • G4 show
  • Guitar show
  • Free dancing and singing
  • New Year Resolutions and Countdown
  • Group photo
  • New Year cake cutting
  • King and Queen of the ceremony show ( Selection of the most well dressed participants)
  • Closing ceremony at 2 a.m on January 1, 2010

Although it was snowing outside, participants enjoyed the party with great fun. This event is a reflection on the strong and long-lasting solidarity of our Khmer students and residents in Aichi prefecture as a whole.
